Clever, hardy and big. Norway Rats are often described as being “as big as a cat”. Realistically these intruders can be around as big as a youth squirrel. However, the damage created by even a small family of Rats can bring a home or business to its knees. Norway Rats can be a tedious and trying challenge for the untrained or inexperienced technician and have even been known to fool a seasoned veteran technician. Typically a strong monitoring program, with pre-baited snap traps can eliminate a small population quickly. Professional care is required here as retail and do-it-yourself methods are not effective in completely eliminating the problem. Entry points should be located and properly sealed as Norway Rats are crafty and will find entry elsewhere if not addressed properly.
